Sam Wilson a.k.a The Falcon entered Marvel Comics in the late 60s in the page of Captain America. He would become a landmark character and an integral part of the Marvel universe ending up as co headliner of the title and of course joining the Avengers (who hasn't). Before The Falcon and The Winter Soldier before the MCU even before he became Captain America he was teaming up with Steve Rogers to take down the Red Skull...and the Cosmic Cube was involved.
