A quiet week at home |Dogs, Turmeric Milk & Finishing my Peggy Square Blanket

I was feeling a bit under the weather and it gave me the perfect opportunity to finally finish my peggy square blanket for the premmieknittingclub nz which is a charity for new born babies in NICU. They are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. I wanted to use the yarn I got from fibre events for this blanket and added a couple of colours to make a scrappy patchwork kind of cozy blanket. I tried the mattress stitch for the first time. I also share my recipe for turmeric milk or golden milk . Ofcourse my two doggies make their appearance as usual. Here's a simple, comforting turmeric milk recipe : 1 cup milk 1/ 2 tsp tumeric powder 1/4 tsp pepper powder a pinch cinnamon powder Palm sugar to taste Method Add the milk, turmeric, cinnamon, and black pepper to a small saucepan. Stir in palm sugar Warm gently over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Bring to boil Remove from the heat Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy warm.
