Join us for a vibrant walk through one of Canada's largest Arab cultural festivals as more than 90,000 visitors gather to celebrate food, music, heritage, and the excitement of FIFA World Cup 2026 in the heart of Toronto. The 9th Annual Taste of the Middle East Toronto Arabic Festival transforms Nathan Phillips Square into a spectacular celebration of Arab culture from July 3–5, 2026. This three-day event brings together live entertainment, traditional dance performances, heritage storytelling, artisan vendors, family activities, and over 100 food vendors serving delicious dishes from across the Middle East. From sizzling charcoal-grilled specialties and freshly baked flatbreads to sweet baklava and kunafa, every corner of the festival offers something unique to discover. Visitors can also explore a lively marketplace filled with handcrafted goods, jewelry, clothing, and cultural exhibits. Adding to the excitement, the festival coincides with the FIFA World Cup 2026, featuring soccer-themed activities, interactive games, and giant-screen watch parties that bring fans together from around the world. One of the most memorable moments of the day was witnessing Egyptian supporters celebrating Egypt's thrilling 4–2 victory over Australia in the FIFA World Cup Round of 32. The joy, dancing, singing, and passion of the crowd created an incredible atmosphere that spread throughout Nathan Phillips Square and downtown Toronto. This walk was filmed during an intense summer heat wave, with temperatures soaring above 30°C under Environment and Climate Change Canada's heat warning. Despite the challenging weather, thousands filled the square to enjoy the festival, creating a lively and energetic scene from start to finish.
