Etihad could break even this financial year, says CEO
In his first UAE interview since the start of the regional conflict, Etihad Airways Group CEO Antonoaldo Neves told The Business Breakfast's Brandy Scott that the airline is flying at 110% of last year's capacity, driven by new routes launched ahead of the summer season. He revealed Etihad could operate at as much as 120% capacity this summer compared to last year, with load factors currently around 85%. Neves also said the airline could break even this financial year if strong momentum continues through the second half and jet fuel prices remain stable.
