I used to be fearless. Then I bought Louboutin boots I'm too scared to wear.

I turned 40, looked at a pair of Christian Louboutin boots I bought in 2022 and have never worn, and asked myself what the hell I was waiting for. This video is about those boots, but it's really about fearlessness. Watching my mum, who immigrated here (to Australia) from Hungary in 1980 not speaking a word of English, slowly shrink her world as she's gotten older, has made me look hard at my own. I used to take risks. I used to be brave. Somewhere along the way I feel like that stopped. And I don't want to wake up one day realising I never wore the shoes.
