Antique jewellery (should you buy it?) and buying at auction

I love antique jewellery - its history, different styles, and patient craftsmanship. Especially valued are the pieces I have inherited. This video was inspired by a request to know the history behind some of the jewellery I wear. So while I had a few pieces at home from my deposit box where it is usually kept, i thought it would be a good idea to do a quick overview from my oldest piece (a pair of regency earrings) to my youngest antique piece (an art deco clip brooch). Auctions are fascinating in their own right and I realise that I haven’t covered as much as i wanted to about buying at auction - but I could do another video on auction tips if there is interest.
