This Fabric Made All the Difference | Byron Top

Hi Everyone! Welcome to another episode of #fridaysews. I remade the Byron Top by Sinclair Patterns, this time using a cotton lawn instead of the seersucker I used for my wearable toile — and it made such a difference. In this version, the fabric feels much better and the overall fit is improved. I also made a few adjustments, including a round back adjustment, changing the cup size from 16 CD to 16 AB, and lowering the bust dart (a little too much, so I’ll tweak that next time). I’m really happy with how this top turned out, and I’m planning to take it with me on my upcoming cruise since it pairs well with so many of my bottoms. This project was a great reminder of how important fabric choice and small fit adjustments can be in garment sewing.
