GTI Club (Konami 1996)
Running in MAME .220 This hardware was an absolute beast in 1996 thanks to a bunch of DSPs and other custom chips. While this was not the first 3D racing game with an open world and AI traffic (Atari Hard Drivin' was the first), it probably was the first with fully textured environments that tried to represent a real place. In a way this game is the great granddaddy of Driver and GTA. This also may be the first driving game with transparent windows and (very primitive) interiors in the cars. On MAME this game seems to have control issues, not sure if it's my setup or emulation issues. Note it's still hard as balls on a real cabinet too. In the arcade the networked bomb tag mode is loads of fun.
