The process starts with polyethylene pellets, usually LDPE or HDPE, which are mixed with additives such as carbon black, slip agents, and anti block materials. These pellets are melted inside an extruder and forced through a circular die. Air is then blown into the hot plastic tube, creating a tall bubble of plastic film. This is called blown film extrusion. As the bubble rises, it is stretched, cooled, flattened, and wound into large rolls. The plastic film is then sent to bag making machines, where it is cut, perforated, heat sealed, folded, rolled, counted, and packaged.
