GT5: NASCAR Series *ABS On* - Daytona Superspeedway [Gold]

Winning the gold on the infamous Daytona Superspeedway seemed impossible until now... Car Specs~ 2010 Ford AJ Allmendinger #43 Fusion Max Power: 850HP Drivetrain: 4WD Fully Tuned, Racing Soft Tires Aerodynamics - Downforce: 25F/45R (Default) Transmission - Top Speed: 380+ km/h LSD - Rear: 10T/40AS/20BS (Default) Suspension: Ride Height - F +15, R -15 Spring Rate - F 18.4, R 18.5 Dampers (both ext. and comp.) - F8, R8 Anti-Roll - F6, R6 Camber - F 0.5, R 0.5 Toe - F 0.0, R 0.2 Brake Controller: 0F/0R Driving Options~ Traction Control - OFF Skid Recovery Force - OFF Active Steering - OFF Active Stability Management (ASM) - ON (Locked by the event) ABS - 1 Controller Steering Sensitivity - 7 Note There's a AI glitch on this event that makes it rather difficult to beat. Since the option to turn off both the ASM and ABS is not possible, you'll find yourself losing more speed than neccessary on the corners. UPDATE PLZ READ After you install the patch (version 2.02 or later), you can try turning off both the ABS and ASM settings for this race. Here's my advice... 1. Change the oil and wash the car to maximize your car's performance 2. Go to Driving Options and adjust the "Controller Steering Sensitivity" meter to the right. By doing this, centripetal force won't be an issue when cornering and racing will be a lot easier, trust! 3. In this race, you might want to use the analog sticks for both steering and accelerating. There are 10 laps in this race which is quite lengthy, and with the steering sensitivity maxed out, you'll only need to tilt slightly when cornering. It's up to you. If you use a steering wheel, great...ignore this msg. 4. On the corners, try to drive as close to the yellow line as possible. If done correctly, you should be at least 310 km/h before the straight. This way you'll stay in front. Again, the steering setup makes this task simple. 5. On the straights especially after corners, the AI will most likely bump you from behind giving you more speed. If they overtake you, slipstream (align your vehicle with theirs so that your front is directly facing their rear). Your job throughout the entire race is to remain ahead of the others. 6.
