Desmontada la coartada del detenido por el asesinato de Meco

Madrid, August 15 (EFE) - The young man arrested in Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara) in connection with the death of a young woman walking her dogs in Meco (Madrid) in January was one of the victim's roommates and is considered by investigators to be the perpetrator.   According to sources involved in the investigation, the alibi he initially offered has evaporated: he stated that he was playing a video game console when the events occurred, and it was confirmed that he was indeed online, but special units of the Civil Guard later verified that, despite this, he was not using it. The detainee, Sergio S.M., 29, shared an apartment with his girlfriend and the victim, Míriam, 25. In fact, on the day of her murder, Miriam was walking four dogs: one of her own and three of his. Sergio's arrest, as part of Operation Madrid Border, took place at his home in Azuqueca, where officers also seized computer equipment, cell phones, and clothing for laboratory analysis in case the victim's biological remains were found. The investigation is being handled by Court No. 5 of Alcalá de Henares, which has declared the proceedings secret.   CIVIL GUARD RESOURCES AT THE CRIME SCENE (ARCHIVE IMAGES FROM JANUARY 17)   Voiceover: Rodrigo Fuentes Tello
