According to the chargesheet, the group had allegedly planned sabotage activities in West Bengal, Assam, and Tripura under the banner of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). The NIA has claimed that the accused were involved in a conspiracy to recruit militants across Northeast India. The chargesheet also alleges efforts to radicalize youths and build a digital network to spread extremist activities. Two alleged key operatives linked to a JMB-affiliated organization were arrested in Assam and Tripura.
