Born on October 2, 1976, in Citrus Heights, California, she rose to fame as a contestant on the fifth season of American Idol, where she finished in ninth place. Her vibrant music career began with her debut album “True Beauty” and continued with several more successful albums, including the Grammy-winning “Overcomer.” Mandisa’s music was characterized by its uplifting and inspirational messages, often reflecting her Christian faith.
