This invasive pest is commonly mistaken for a controllable weed. Unfortunately it's classified as a perennial grass and there are no selective herbicides that can control it without killing the desired grasses as well. It takes about 2 seasons to kill it with the use of glyphosate (common active ingredient found in Roundup). Best way to control Bermuda grass in Utah is: 1. Contain the area where the Bermuda grass is found. 2. Remove all vegetation from the contained area and leaving bare dirt 3. Treat entire area bi weekly for the first two to three months with a glyphosate based product 4. Spot treat the Bermuda grass as it sprouts up for the next two seasons until you no longer see it for two to three months to ensure it's gone. Thanks for watching.
