Celebrating Finnish Christmas with my Indian family in Kerala

I have celebrated the past 4 Christmases in India. For this year, I had planned to spend it with Vinod in Finland, but 2020 was not the right year for plans. Xmas is the time of the year when I feel terribly homesick. I miss my family in Finland. Last year we were in Kochi and I had too many hopes for a grand Christmas celebration. But this year, I kept it simple and tried to recreate my childhood traditions with my Indian family here in Kerala. I made lots of traditional Finnish Christmas food and decorated our house as best as I could in DIY style. Being in the last trimester of my pregnancy though, I get tired easily. After all the hard work for the festival, I almost became bed ridden :) But I'm not going to exhaust myself for the New Year's Eve. It is going to be an easy day for a hope filled new year.
