ポール・モーリアの名曲　蒼いノクターン、ある人に言わせるとショパンを連想させるとも。変ロ長調から始まって、ホ長調へ転調してからの右手もアルペジオを弾く、というポール・モーリアの曲の中では結構技巧的な曲ですが、Nocturn（夜想曲）という素敵な曲名がついています。彼自身も何回もコンサートで演奏していましたし、彼のコンサートに一緒に来ていた旧友のピアニストジャン・ベルナールの演奏も技巧的で素敵でした。 " Nocturne" is a masterpiece by Paul Mauriat; some say it evokes the spirit of Chopin. It is a rather technically demanding piece by Mauriat's standards—starting in B-flat major and modulating to E major, with the right hand playing arpeggios—yet it bears the lovely title "Nocturne." Mauriat himself performed it frequently in concert, and I also recall a wonderful, virtuosic performance by his old friend, the pianist Jean-Bernard, who used to accompany him to his concerts.
