Hackney MP Diane Abbott tells MPs NHS would be 'fully funded' suicide service Mother of the House Diane Abbott has told the Commons she will not be voting for the bill. The Hackney North and Stoke Newington MP said: “As I said at the beginning I am not against assisted dying in any circumstances. “If this bill passes we will have the NHS funded as a fully funded 100 per cent suicide service but palliative care will only be funded at 30 per cent at best.
