Innovative technology and social impact took center stage at the 2024 eAwards Peru, awards that recognize the country's most outstanding technology-based social impact ventures. This year, the winner was ALINTI, a startup that converts photosynthesis into electricity using a patented technology placed beneath plant roots to stimulate nutrient-rich microbial activity, generating free electrons that are then transformed into electricity. The eAwards are an international competition organized by the NTT DATA Foundation that seeks to recognize innovative, scalable, and sustainable technology projects that generate a positive impact on society.
