Vlog 157 - Fancy fish, scrappy log cabins, gorgeous fabric, and more

Welcome to the Stitches and Slapdashery sewing room. You know how sometimes you don’t know what you want to make, but you just want to make something?! This week’s crafting has been like that. Walk into my sewing room, look around, and see what jumps out! I made a garland of fish out of toilet paper tubes, acrylic paint and Mod Podge, in rainbow colours of course. And another of my little birds. And then I went crazy with the scrap pillow, emptying it all out onto the floor and sewing up a bunch of wonky, scrappy log cabin blocks. Still not sure what they’ll end up being, but it was just so relaxing to get them made. I finally opened up my two fat quarter bundles of Free Spirit fabrics - oh wow, they are just gorgeous! I have promised myself that I can use them when the scrap bag is empty, which should be soon. There’s also a couple of new supplies from Michaels to add to my toolbox, and I started building gift baskets for the upcoming festival. And I almost forgot, a Tunisian crochet dishcloth.
