Description: Is your Audi A5 (8T) making a humming or grinding noise from the rear axle? In this video, I'll show you how to completely replace the wheel bearing on a non-driven rear axle. This guide also applies to many similar models, such as the Audi A4 B8. IMPORTANT: Even if your Audi A5 has an electric parking brake, you don't need to put it into maintenance mode if you're not replacing the brakes! 🛠 Tools Required: Jack & axle stands 19mm Allen wrench Torque wrench (up to at least 200 Nm) Wire brush & brake cleaner ⚙️ Technical Data (Torque Specifications): Center bolt (axle bolt): 200 Nm + 180° (Always use a new bolt!) Brake caliper bracket to axle carrier: approx. 100 Nm + 90° (Check depending on the model) Wheel bolts: 120 Nm Note: I am not a trained mechanic. Working on brakes and suspension is safety-critical.
