The last Vickers Varsity WL679 Fly Past at Brooklands 1992
Please not the first video caption is wrong, WL679 last flight to Cosford was on the 27th of July the Flight over Brooklands to visit their Varsity WF372 was on the 17 July not the 27 as shown. In 1992 Vickers Armstrong Varsity WL679 ended a 43 year career by flying to RAF Cosford on the way it said good by to its sister Aircraft at Brooklands. WL679 was built by Vickers Armstrong at Bournemouth and released from their factory on 25 September 1953. This was the last Varsity to fly with Royal Air Force Insignia, but in the very distinctive livery of the Royal Aircraft Establishment.
