The Chairperson of the Indonesian Tuberculosis Eradication Association (PPTI), Ir. Yani Yuhani Panigoro, MM, revealed the struggle of TB cadres who are willing to go door-to-door to ensure patients take their medication for six months without fail. "What noble hearts these cadres have. Even though they may be financially disadvantaged, they are willing to act with their hearts," said Yani Panigoro, during an exclusive interview with Tribun Network News Director Febby Mahendra Putra, at the Tribunnews Studio in Jakarta, Tuesday (May 19, 2026). In this interview, Yani Panigoro also highlighted the hardships of TB sufferers who must regularly take medication amidst tight economic conditions. Many patients even have to choose between buying food or enduring treatment. PPTI reminded that TB can be cured as long as patients are diligent in taking their medication and the community cares.
