In this episode of El Impenetrable TV, we learn the story of Humberto Escalada, a 76-year-old farmer who was born, raised, and decided to stay forever in the Tariorca area, a few kilometers from Juan José Castelli. With over four hundred hectares of land, Humberto dedicates each day to raising goats, cows, sheep, pigs, and poultry, maintaining a family-run production system built through the work of several generations. We tour his corrals, witness the birth of the kids, the daily tasks on the farm, and the lessons he inherited from his father, also sharing stories and anecdotes that are part of the identity of the Chaco forest. Together with his son Alexis, we discover how the family remains connected to the land, even though many have had to emigrate in search of better opportunities. Each return means helping to keep alive a way of producing based on hard work, deep roots, and love for the land. But behind this story of production and perseverance lies a striking reality: the power grid runs just a few hundred meters away, and after decades of promises, electricity still hasn't reached Humberto's house. A basic necessity that remains a debt for a family that never stopped investing in production in El Impenetrable.
