This video talks about the complex and pain in the ass discussion of what is the best paint. Here are several factors to consider when choosing paint- What kind of paintball are you playing? Woodsball - need thicker shell XBall - need thinner shell, thicker fill practice - economy paint tournament - medium thickness, thick bright fill indoor - brittle paint for lower velocities, bright shell for low light conditions Also, you need to consider what kind of gun you are shooting. Spyders, Tippmanns and other budget markers are usually more rough on paint, than tournament guns like Dyes, Egos, and Bob Long guns. Next, especially in the winter time, consider where the paint is made. Paint that is transported from extremely cold climates can sometimes be super brittle, too brittle in many cases and will break in the gun. You need to consider what kind of barrel you are using. Don't try shooting super large bore paint through a .687 bore barrel. If you are shooting .689 barrel, get small bore. Last, avoid Wal-Mart and Sports Authority paint. Support your local paintball stores.
