How to Propagate Pepper Plants from Cuttings to Grow over the Winter

I'm a huge fan of fresh Jalapeno peppers and so one thing I like to do is take cuttings of my pepper plants so I can enjoy peppers indoors over the winter. Pepper plants can be propagated very easily through cuttings and have a high chance of success. Once rooted pepper plants can be brought indoors to grow and will produce peppers if placed in a sunny location. This works well because peppers are really a tender perennial that can grow for a long time as long as the plant is not damaged by frost. To propagate pepper plants make sure you allow enough time for rooting to occur before your first frost date. You will want to allow about 4 to 6 weeks for rooting.
