Curated by art historian Mert Yüksel, the exhibition brings together over 100 works by 53 artists from different generations of Turkish painting history between June 18 and August 1, 2026. Beyond being a comprehensive selection that brings together important names in art history, the exhibition offers a layered reading of the aesthetic and intellectual transformation that painting in Türkiye has undergone. The selection, ranging from the figurative and observational understanding of the early Republican period to the abstract explorations of the Paris School, from social realist narratives to the experimental orientations of contemporary painting; The exhibition brings together the visual memory of different eras in the same space. Featuring works by artists from contemporary generations alongside defining figures in Turkish painting history such as Fahrelnissa Zeid, Nejad Melih Devrim, Mubin Orhon, Ferruh Başağa, Adnan Turani, Devrim Erbil, Burhan Uygur, Ergin İnan, and Selma Gürbüz, the exhibition makes visible how line, color, and brushstroke have been reinterpreted across generations. In this respect, the exhibition creates a comprehensive memory space that sheds light not only on the past but also on the present and future of Turkish painting.
