De tien tijdvakken: 4 Steden en staten

What do you really need to know about history? So much has happened. Yet some events have left a greater impression than others. The De Rooy Committee was founded in 1999 to ensure that students would receive more and better history education. They were concerned that many students would soon forget whether Napoleon or Hitler appeared earlier in history. If you repeat things often enough, you can remember them more easily. It's also easier to learn if the information is presented in distinct, clear sections. That's why they divided history into ten different time periods. This series of short films explores these ten time periods.
