How to catch Jaguar Guapote and Mayan cichlids in the Florida Everglades

In this video I show how to catch Jaguar Guapote (Parachromis managuensis) and Mayan cichlids (Cichlasoma urophthalmus) in the Florida Everglades. I use trout magnet jigs and cut bait to catch these fish. Jaguar Guapote are also known as Jaguar cichlid, Managuense cichlid, Guapote tigre, and other names. I have been fishing for Jaguar Guapote for over 25 years and found that the best baits for these fish is fresh cut bait, bread, and small lures. They are native to Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. Mayan cichlids are also known as Atomic sunfish and Mexican mojarra. They are native to Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Belize.
