Llangollen Garden Railway Festival 2026 - Live Steam Railroad

The Llangollen Garden Railway Festival is one of the UK’s newest garden railway events. Since launching in 2022, the festival has grown each year, welcoming more than a thousand visitors and raising thousands of pounds for charity. Held at the Llangollen Royal International Pavilion, the festival brings together large-scale layouts, traders, societies and garden railway specialists from across the UK. It is a great day out for families, children, hobbyists and enthusiasts alike. With more than 40 stalls and a wide range of model layouts, you can explore railways from different periods and countries, with live steam, gas-fired and electric operation. There are hands-on activities for children, including Playmobil trains and wagon-building, as well as demonstrations of modelling techniques. The festival is run entirely by volunteers and, since 2022, has donated over £10,000 to local charities and community groups.
