We started our morning at One Cup Coffee, easing into the day before visiting the powerful Kigali Genocide Memorial. Out of respect for the space and their guidelines, we recorded very little — but the experience was eye-opening, emotional, and educational. Thirty years ago this country endured an unimaginable tragedy, yet today you see resilience, growth, and perseverance everywhere. Afterward, we shifted into creativity at Pottery Café Kigali, where I made something that now holds even more meaning. We ended the evening at home, sharing dinner and drinks with our family — slowing down, reflecting on the day, and appreciating the connection that makes travel more than just sightseeing.
