DISCLAIMER I know that as soon as you read the first three lines of this description, you'll all be ready to prick me, but clearly, mine is also a provocation and refers almost exclusively to one type of photography (sports) and only to photos taken during the day. It should also be said that having an f/1.0 lens means having a lens that at f/1.4, not being at its widest aperture, tends to be sharper than a native f/1.4. So, it has its advantages and disadvantages, like everything else.
