Fundamentals of non invasive ventilation

Studies have shown the benefits of non-invasive ventilation for chronic respiratory failure, but understanding the approach to NIV initiation and follow up can be challenging given the rapidly improving technology of NIV devices. This talk highlights the literature that supports the use of NIV in the management of patients with chronic respiratory failure while also providing practical guidelines for initiaing NIV for patients with a variety of medical conditions.
