Should the BJP not pass off Aamir Khan's statements as his 'personal views'

On Prime Time, we debate whether it is right of the BJP government to pass off the communal statements made by its party members as their 'individual opinion' while at the same time opposing actor Aamir Khan's views about growing intolerance in the country. Following the statement by Aamir Khan that his wife – filmmaker Kiran Rao had even asked if they should 'move out' of India because of the growing 'intolerance' in the country, there were widespread protests and lambasting that took place on social networking sites against the actor.
