Fukuoka, a popular destination for many Koreans, is close enough to go for ramen. But wherever you go, there are so many Koreans waiting in line that it doesn't feel like a vacation. Why didn't I consider Kitakyushu, right next door? I documented my 4-night, 5-day trip to Kitakyushu, a city that combines the best of small Japanese cities. From budget-friendly hotels with unbeatable locations and views, located right in front of Kokura Station, to local restaurants with no waiting lines, to a Shimonoseki itinerary with a rental car, and an honest review of my trip with Listerine, the ultimate oral care product.
