Kayaking Chicago's Secret Escape
Just minutes from downtown Chicago, the North Branch of the Chicago River hides a world most people drive right past. In this video, I take my kayak out for a quiet morning paddle — surrounded by chirping birds, sunning turtles, and fish breaking the surface — all within a stone's throw of some of the city's busiest streets. It's proof that you don't need to leave Chicago to find a peaceful retreat. Sometimes it's just a paddle stroke away from the chaos — close enough to hear it, but somehow completely removed from it. 🛶 Filmed on: North Branch, Chicago River 📍 Location: Chicago, IL If you enjoyed this, subscribe for more urban exploration and outdoor adventures right in Chicago's backyard.
