In Macam Studios they are created to inspire film-makers, actors and fans to dreaming without limits, through ‘what if’ trailers. ►How are ‘what if’ trailers made? I start by becoming a fan of the film, then research franchise news, fan theories and updates about the dream film. Then find new clips of the actors and any elements that makes the the franchise known for. We make it clear at the beginning of each trailers that its ‘fan made' to avoid confusion. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Editing Journey: Fast & Furious has always been one of my beloved franchises, and it’s easily one of the biggest projects I enjoy working on for the channel. With this trailer, I wanted to treat it like the final chapter since there’s only one movie left in the saga. To get in the right mindset, I went back and watched Fast & Furious 7 and Fast & Furious 8, which I personally think are two of the best films in the franchise. As a longtime fan, I started imagining how the story could continue after the cliffhanger in Fast X. One idea I introduced in the trailer is Dom seemingly meeting his end at the hands of Dante—something the franchise has never really explored before. But in true Fast fashion, nothing is ever that simple, and the twist reveals it was actually part of Dom’s plan to stay one step ahead of Dante. Another storyline I added is Dante Reyes getting backup from his own family, with new characters played by Bautista and Cristiano Ronaldo. This shifts the conflict into a full family-versus-family battle, which feels very fitting for the Fast universe. Since the story brings the crew back to their roots in Los Angeles, I thought it would be cool if the cars also reflected that throwback feeling. That’s why I showed Brian driving the same Mitsubishi Eclipse he had in the very first Fast film. It’s a small detail, but for longtime fans it really brings the story full circle.
