Let's get to the most glamorous recap of the week. Because if there's one wedding that has stolen all the headlines, it's been Nieves Álvarez and Bill Saad's wedding at a castle in Paris. And believe me, it wasn't just any wedding; it was a lavish affair in true Great Gatsby style. Last weekend, Lebanese businessman Bill Saad took Nieves's hand again (for the third time) and, with the same emotion as the first time, renewed his promise of eternal love. And he didn't do it just anywhere: it was none other than the Château de Ferrières, a fairytale castle on the outskirts of Paris that has seen Audrey Hepburn pass through wearing a cage on her head designed by Dalí, and which has now witnessed our great Spanish model say "I do," transformed into a veritable haute couture orchid thanks to designer Stéphane Rolland. The religious ceremony, officiated by the parish priest of La Madeleine (who later performed "O Sole Mio," leaving us all speechless), brought together some 250 guests from all over the world. Among them were familiar faces such as Marta Sánchez, Laura Ponte, Adriana Abascal, Cristina Yanes, and Stéphane Rolland himself. The couple's children were also present, actively participating in the readings and prayers, even moving their grandmother to tears. But the best part was the bride and groom's request for no cell phones. No photos, no stories, no distractions. Just to live in the moment, as in the old days, and enjoy a wedding that was pure magic: from the cocktail hour with Iberian ham and Marqués de Murrieta wines, to the dinner in a vermilion red hall with caryatids and a skylight, not to mention the surprise performance by Marta Sánchez singing "I Will Survive" and a band of musicians in military jackets in true Beatles style. And when everyone was ready for a break, the party moved to another room with a monumental pyramid of white macarons. Nieves, who's a supermodel even when it comes to outfit changes, went from her spectacular Rolland design to an elegant Saint Laurent in beige tones, inspired by one of her favorite looks from 1999. But if there's one detail that truly touched me, it's that the bride and groom asked guests to make donations to Tara For Women, the foundation named after Bill's late daughter that supports female entrepreneurs, instead of gifts. Now that's true love. And as a grand finale, the night stretched well into the early hours, because Paris is the city of love, but love, as you know, is very, very passionate. And if Gloria Gaynor is playing, well, you can imagine. So, you know: if you ever get married, take note. Castle, haute couture, no cell phones, great music, and lots and lots of generosity.
