TYPO3 v14 kurz angeschaut: Neue Features im Backend und Code

TYPO3 v14 is just around the corner (release date: April 21st), and I couldn't resist taking a closer look at the current state of things. In this video, I'll take you through the new backend and show you what I've noticed most while testing it over the past few days. From the new design to QR codes and short URLs, to synchronized crop variants and automatic WebP conversion: a lot has changed. I was previously only familiar with some features from community extensions. The fact that they're now part of the core (and some are even compatible with the previous syntax) is fantastic. We'll also take a look at my site package. You'll see: the TypoScript has been reduced to a minimum. The new Fluid ViewHelpers, such as `f:render.contentArea` and `f:page.meta`, make many things simpler and clearer. Important to know: Much of what's new in TYPO3 v14 is the recommended new approach, but you can switch over gradually. Most of the old methods still work.
