Iran has successfully installed a 6,200-ton offshore processing platform in the Reshadat Oil Field in the Persian Gulf. Installation of the giant platform began on June 22, 2026, and is a strategic project to increase national oil production capacity. This new platform is projected to increase Iran's oil production capacity to 35,000 barrels per day. Once all installation and testing phases are complete, the facility is targeted to become fully operational next year. This additional production capacity is expected to strengthen Iran's ability to meet energy demand while increasing the efficiency of offshore oil field development. The project is also part of the government's efforts to optimize production from strategic oil and gas assets in the Persian Gulf region.
