Freedom50 – London To Amsterdam Charity Bike Ride (17th – 20th June 2022)

A four-day European #bikeride was planned to raise awareness of global climate challenges starting from #London and travelling through #Calais, #Bruges, and #Oostvoorne and arriving at our final destination in #Amsterdam. The #charity bike ride purpose is to raise #awareness of the impact of #globalwarming amongst the UK’s #BritishBangladeshi and other communities and highlight the #health benefits of #cycling. Health inequalities have disproportionately impacted the Bangladeshi community, and during Covid-19, this was further exacerbated. Last year’s national bike ride encouraged more #Bangladeshi people to use their bikes for #exercise and commuting. We aim to build on this momentum and encourage more people to make small changes that make an impact on #climatechange.
