From Trophies to Teamwork | Josiah Yin | TEDxQSI Zhuhai Youth
This talk challenges the idea that success is defined by winning, sharing a personal story of failure that revealed deeper lessons about teamwork, character, and growth. It shows that individual achievement means little without collective progress, and that handling failure with grace can build stronger connections and lasting respect. Ultimately, it redefines “W.I.N.” as who you become, the impact you have on others, and the understanding that success is never a straight line. Josiah is a high schooler who loves singing and getting involved in Model United Nations. He’s a loving member of his school choir and used to be the only male member in the choir, which made for some interesting experiences! Known for his toughness and never-give-up attitude, Josiah approaches life with determination and curiosity. He’s also ambitious, he started his own study agency and runs a charity organization, showing his passion for helping others while chasing his dreams. Always ready to take on challenges, Josiah is driven by creativity, community, and the desire to make a real impact. Achievements ● The CEO & regional manager of HELLO Trust Henqing (charity organization) ● Asia growth director of BYCIG ● The best delegate of Oxford MUN 2025 This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
