KRT. Mpu Arum Fanani Notopuro (Zainal Fanani) is the only remaining keris craftsman in Singosari District, Malang Regency. His full name is Kanjeng Raden Tumenggung Fanani Arum Fanani Notopuro. He has been a keris craftsman since 1992. Starting with buying and selling since 1992, Fanani became addicted to learning about the world of keris, from its creation, rituals, and history. According to Fanani, one way to preserve keris is through buying and selling. When he first learned to make a keris in 1996, he found the keris trade very attractive and easy to sell. He then became a keris maker, owner, and collector of various types of keris. Fanani spends his days making keris at his besalen (stove), Besalen Condro Aji.
