About: Mario Kart 64 is a landmark 1996 kart racing game for the Nintendo 64, renowned for introducing 4-player split-screen, 3D track designs, and iconic, large-scale courses. As the second entry in the series, it sold 9.87 million copies and introduced staple elements like Wario, Donkey Kong, and the infamous Blue Shell. Overall, the game's aesthetic gave me a comic book vibe. The main complaint for me, which can be explained off as me playing it badly, was the RNG. Oftentimes, I would spin out aimlessly or get hit by item after item; that part isn't my doing, as the game at 150cc is pure chaos. But bad AI rubberbanding made it nearly impossible in some cases to close out a race upon a drop off a cliff, into the water, or getting hit by an item, which was almost always followed up by another item. It's not a bad game at all, in fact, it's really fun!
