The plot centers around an American named Charles McAllister, who is caught up in a web of international intrigue while traveling in Vienna, Austria, during the Cold War period. McAllister becomes involved in a complex case of espionage when he is asked to deliver a mysterious package to a contact in the city. However, things quickly spiral out of control as he discovers that he is being pursued by various secretive forces, including intelligence agencies and shadowy individuals with conflicting agendas. William Keenan was an English journalist, playwright and novelist. He wrote a regular column for the Catholic Herald and was the author of three mystery novels and numerous plays for BBC Radio.
