KC-135 PILOT MAKES AN ABSOLUTE STUNNER OF A LANDING WITH A SHARP TURN ON FINAL • RAF MILDENHALL

This was no ordinary landing from a KC-135 of the 351st Air Refuelling Squadron. Usually, the KC-135 will go out as far as ELY, which is a good 10 miles out and turn in on final, but not this one! The 100th Air Refueling Wing is RAF Mildenhall's current host wing and the only permanent U.S. air refueling wing in the European theatre, activated here on February 1, 1992. The wing provides the critical air refueling "bridge" that allows the Expeditionary Air Force to deploy around the globe on a moment's notice. The Bloody Hundredth is comprised of the 100th Maintenance Group, the 100th Mission Support Group, and the 100th Operations Group. KC-135 STRATOTANKER The KC-135 Stratotanker provides the core aerial refueling capability for the United States Air Force and has excelled in this role for more than 60 years. This unique asset enhances the Air Force's capability to accomplish its primary mission of global reach. It also provides aerial refueling support to Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and allied nation aircraft.
