How to Assemble and Transport Your Waydoo Evo eFoil | Step-by-Step Guide

In this video, Katie and Eli from MACkiteboarding demonstrate how to assemble the new Waydoo Evo eFoil, guiding viewers through the process step by step. The assembly starts with inspecting the mast connection area to ensure it's free of water, dirt, and debris for a smooth assembly and optimal performance. After checking the area, they flip the board upside down and position the larger front wing and smaller rear wing correctly, with the motor facing the back. Eli explains that the mast must be secured using M6x20 hex flathead screws, tightening them in a criss-cross pattern, similar to tightening lug nuts on a car, to ensure a flush fit. With the board still upside down, they move on to installing the battery. Katie points out that the battery is quite heavy, so having the board balanced is helpful. The battery must be inserted at an angle, and a distinct click will signal that it’s locked into place. Eli shows how to double-check that the battery is secure by ensuring it can’t be pulled up once locked. Following this, they introduce the Evo eFoil’s new feature, two push-and-twist safety keys. Eli demonstrates how to insert and twist these keys into place, noting that the first key is easier to install, while the second requires more pressure. After securing both keys, they verify the system by pulling on the top and bottom, ensuring everything is locked. For those with the optional wheels, Katie and Eli explain how to install them. This requires removing screws from pre-drilled holes and sliding the wheels into place, securing them with screws until snug. The wheels make it easier to transport the board to the water. Finally, Eli demonstrates how to handle the board, using the nose handle and a grip under the board to carry it comfortably. He suggests walking the board in front of you and gently pushing it down into the water. 00:00 Introduction 00:14 Inspect Mast Connection 00:40 Connecting the Mast to the Board 02:11 Installing the Battery 03:50 Installing the Wheels (optional) 04:31 Nose Handle 04:41 Walking the Board Thank you for sharing the kiteboarding and wing foiling stoke with us! 🤙🏽 Please join us in the comments section and get a conversation started.
