Delta Gold SkyMiles Card: A $150/year Checked Bag and Hotel Subscription

I show you how to get the most out of the Delta Gold card's benefits and rewards, tell you how to find the BETTER welcome offer that others won't tell you about, and then give you my mini review of the card. A bit more context on this: When Delta and Amex raised the fee on this card a few years ago, I was not a fan, but I've definitely come around to liking this card. While I don't like the idea of having to go after things like statement credits, I have found the Delta Stays credit to be usable during my travels. Does it provide enough value to justify the bump in the annual fee? I think yes. Now, I WOULD NOT recommend putting spending on the Delta Gold Amex card... or any airline credit card. The rewards for spending just don't measure up. Also, I wouldn't recommend using Delta Stays beyond what you need to maximize the credit on the Delta Amex.
