2025 Skoda Enyaq Coupe Sportline Facelift
The Skoda Enyaq, which shares its platform with the Volkswagen ID.4, has received a comprehensive facelift aimed at maintaining its competitive edge in the increasingly crowded electric vehicle market. Renowned for its spacious interior, advanced features, and reasonable pricing, the Enyaq has established itself as one of Europe’s most popular electric cars, often going head-to-head with the Tesla Model Y. The recent updates focus on enhancing the vehicle's already strong foundation, rather than introducing groundbreaking changes. One of the most striking updates to the Skoda Enyaq is its redesigned front end. Gone is the traditional grille and standard headlight configuration. In their place, Skoda has adopted its "Modern Solid" design philosophy, first seen on the Skoda Elroq. This refreshed look features a sleek black faux grille framed by slim LED daytime running lights, while the main headlights have been repositioned lower on the front bumper. For those who opt for higher trims, the faux grille is available with illumination, giving the Enyaq a more upscale and futuristic appearance. The updated design is not just about aesthetics; it has significantly improved the vehicle’s aerodynamics. The standard Enyaq now boasts a drag coefficient of 0.245, a notable improvement from the previous 0.264. The Coupe variant achieves an even better drag coefficient of 0.225, reduced from 0.234. These aerodynamic enhancements translate to greater efficiency, allowing for increased driving range without altering the battery or motor configurations. The refreshed Skoda Enyaq lineup consists of three primary versions. The base model, called the Enyaq 60, is equipped with a 59-kilowatt-hour usable battery that offers a range of 272 miles for the Coupe and 268 miles for the standard model, as measured by the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure. Stepping up to the Enyaq 85 provides a larger 77-kilowatt-hour usable battery, delivering an impressive 371 miles of range in the Coupe variant and 365 miles in the standard version. This marks a notable improvement over the previous model, which maxed out at 354 miles. At the top of the range, the Enyaq 85x adds a second motor on the front axle for dual-motor all-wheel drive. This variant offers 352 miles of range in the Coupe and 347 miles in the standard model. Despite the added motor, the power output for both the Enyaq 85 and 85x remains consistent at 281 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Charging capabilities present an interesting mix of options. The entry-level Enyaq 60, with its 201-horsepower motor, supports up to 165 kilowatts of charging power. Surprisingly, the mid-tier Enyaq 85 is limited to 135 kilowatts, while the top-tier Enyaq 85x supports up to 175 kilowatts of charging power. Skoda claims that charging times remain relatively short across the lineup, with the Enyaq 60 requiring 24 minutes and the Enyaq 85 and 85x taking 28 minutes to recharge. Although Skoda has not specified the exact charge levels achieved within this timeframe, it is likely based on the commonly referenced range of ten percent to eighty percent. Performance figures for the Skoda Enyaq are equally noteworthy. The base Enyaq 60 accelerates from zero to sixty-two miles per hour in 8.1 seconds, while the more powerful Enyaq 85 and 85x trims achieve the same speed in a brisk 6.7 seconds. Inside the cabin, Skoda has focused on sustainability and comfort. The refreshed Enyaq now includes heated front seats and a heated steering wheel as standard features. It also boasts a five-inch digital instrument cluster and a large thirteen-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A new color option, Olibo Green, has been introduced, adding a fresh visual element to the lineup. Skoda continues to refine the Enyaq with software updates as well. Notable enhancements include battery preconditioning before fast charging, a feature designed to optimize charging efficiency. This, combined with the ongoing improvements to motors and battery packs since its launch in 2020, keeps the Enyaq competitive. Pricing for the updated Enyaq has not yet been announced, but it is expected to remain in line with the outgoing model. In Germany, the previous Enyaq 85x was priced around fifty-three thousand dollars. With its thoughtful updates, the Skoda Enyaq aims to remain a strong contender in the evolving electric vehicle market. #skodaenyaq #enyaqfacelift #electriccoupe Get More Great Car Videos - Subscribe: https://goo.gl/BSIaFc
