Halloween-pigmented poison dart frogs
Searching for poison dart frogs, Oophaga solanensis, sometimes locally referred to as the Koe-Koe, in the coastal mountains of western Colombia. Corrections / additional comments: 5:07 - Big error made here. Oophaga histrionica was described in 1845. O. solanensis, anchicayensis, and andresi were split from the O. histrionica complex in the 2018 paper I was referencing. Chapters: 0:00 - Monkey Lizard (Polychrus gutturosus) 1:30 - Poison dart frog #1 (Oophaga solanensis) 2:23 - Leaf-mimicking katydid (Mimetica castanea) 3:37 - Big-Scaled Sipo (Chironius grandisquamis) 4:54 - Poison dart frog #2 (Oophaga solanensis) 6:33 - Green Harlequin Toad (Atelopus spurrelli) 7:42 - Cope’s Vine Snake (Oxybelis brevirostris) 9:11 - Poison dart frog #3 (Oophaga solanensis) Instagram: https://instagram.com/me_and_the_alie...
