In quantum mechanics problems, the need often arises to use an operator representation of the evolution of states. In this case, the description of the system's state can be represented by a vector, and its evolution is reduced to a matrix representation. This article discusses the approximate determination of eigenvectors and eigenvalues of normal matrices, as well as how and in what cases perturbation theory can be used for this problem.
